Today, the majority of the world is facing some massive problems: Disease, famine, lack of clean water, lack of education, and extreme poverty to name a few. What we are learning is that these complex problems are surmountable, but they require a spirit of innovation and ingenuity that traditionally has only been channeled into for-profit organizations.
But that paradigm is changing. Today, there are thousands of entrepreneurs whose sole mission is to create sustainable organizations and solutions that make this world a better place.
Unreasonable at Sea is another step in this movement. It is an attempt to bring entrepreneurs to the developing world where these solutions are most needed - so that they can learn directly from the individuals affected by these issues.
This documentary follows 5 inspiring, young social busniesses as they sail to 13 countries on 4 different continents over the course of 100 days. They are joined on the ship by some of the world's greatest thinkers, leaders and innovators all in an attempt to make a dent in a few of the world's most difficult problems.
